With barely 32 days to the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Prestea Huni-valley constituency, Hon. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, as part of her intensive campaign tour to secure another victory in the December 7 elections has charged residents, floating voters and sympathisers of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in her area to vote massively for the NPP to ensure a resounding victory and continuity in development.
Rounding up her one-day tour of the constituency on Monday, November 2, with visits to Sikabewu, Takyimantia, Nfantsekrom, Boatengkrom and Bepoh, the MP urged residents to renew the mandate of the NPP by voting for the number one position on the presidential and parliamentary ballot papers.
“The president is number one on the presidential ballot paper, I am also number one on the parliamentary ballot paper, vote for us to ensure the government of the NPP consolidates the gains chalked since assumption of office” she emphasized.
The workaholic MP indicated that constituents have had an opportunity to witness at first hand the impact of the social interventions, policies and programmes implemented by the Akufo-Addo led Government.
She said the NPP has fulfilled almost every promise it made to the people of Ghana in 2016, she catalogued a long list of development initiatives, which has materialised and improved the living conditions of the people, key of which was the Free Senior High School (SHS) programme, Nation Builders Corps (NaBCO) which has reduced the unemployment rate of the youthful population, Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) and the Community Mining Program.
The MP indicated that other interventions by the government such as the effective management of the Coronavirus pandemic and free water and electricity to Ghanaians are evidence of government’s remarkable performance.
The legislator said the NPP is well positioned and poised to undertake more of such programmes as well as bring development to the doorstep of every household in the country.
She therefore called on residents to vote for the NPP in the December 7 polls to ensure four more years for President Akufo-Addo and her able self, to enable them do more.
