National Women’s Organizer of the NDC, Dr Hanna Louisa Bissiw has lashed out at President Akufo Addo over an alleged gay conference purported to be held in Ghana.
In an interview with Power fm 97.9 in Accra, as monitored by Myafricatoday.net, Dr Bissiw warned that the said event could rain massive curses upon the country due to its spiritual implications and conflict with the country’s cultural norms and practices.
Dr Bissiw who was a veterinary doctor before joining politics shared an experience in her practice to buttress her points.
“In veterinary medicine, when an animal mates same sex, we kill it. So if animals are not even allowed to do it, why should humans practice same-sex relationships,” she quizzed.
She was of the view that the President will only permit the said conference in Ghana because of favours done him by advocates of LGBT.
It will be recalled that the issue of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgenders caused so much controversy recently when it was alleged that a Pan- African group which proudly associates with the LGBT society was about holding its fifth regional conference in Ghana.
The topic for the said event which irritates many Ghanaians is a very sensitive one that could play to the disadvantage of governing party. However, the government is yet to comment on the matter.
