Some Executive of the National Democratic Congress(ND) in the Bono East Region have been subjected to severe beatings by thugs believed to be associated with the Regional Minister, who doubles as incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Atebubu-Amantin, Hon Kofi Amoakohene.
Among the beaten executives are Atebubu-Amantin Constituency Secretary, Mr Nando Francis, and the Constituency Organizer, Usif Alhassan.
The attack according to our source allegedly happened at the Presby Church Registration Center in Atebubu, in the presence of Armed Military men, who were brought in since yesterday by the Regional Minister.
The Constituency Secretary, Nando Francis is left with a fractured leg whiles Usif Alhassan the Organizer has bruises and cuts all over his body.
They are currently receiving treatment at the Atebubu Municipal Hospital.
However, we cannot readily tell what brought about attacks on these individuals.
