The “Confederation of Governance Assessment Institute” (GOGAI) in Partnership with the “Bureau of Research on Governance, Commerce and Administration” (BORGCA) and the Select Committee of the PAN AFRICAN HONORARY AWARDS has Adjudged Mr. Samuel Addai Agyekum, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Sekyere Kumawu as the Overall best DCE of the year under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo’s Administration.
He was nominated and invited for the prestigious award at the PAN AFRICAN REPUBLIC HONORARY AWARDS” which was held at the Accra International Conference Centre as Productive Contributor to the economy and socio-communal development of Ghana.
The Pan African Heroes Foundation, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Isaac Rockson, explained that his dedication, commitment and relentless devotion to be fair, free and firm in decision making to direct control and manage governance affairs have earned him the honour.
According to him, Mr. Rockson, careful consideration on all nominations, background checks and relative research have been conducted to acknowledge all dignitaries in their order of achievement and excellence.
He added that Mr. Addai Agyekum’s cumulative tireless efforts coupled with his decisions and commitment to duty cannot be underestimated.
“Your Service and Sacrifice have in diverse ways, directly or indirectly jointly influence the economy of Ghana and the welfare of the citizens of Ghana. You are by this invitation being acknowledged for your diversity in nation building and as one of the Potential Vital pillars in the development of democracy and governance in Ghana and Africa,” he lamented.
Mr Samuel Addai Agyekum, District Chief Executive (DCE) of Sekyere Kumawu in the Ashanti Region is a native of Kumawu Woraso.
He attended Kumasi Senior High School (KUHIS) and proceeded to University of Ghana, Legon for his first degree, and had his Masters in Public Administration at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)
He has served two term as Assembly Member and Presiding Member at Woraso Electoral Area in the Sekyere Kumawu District Assembly.
In another development, Sekyere South DCE has also been adjudged The Most Hard Working DCE Under Nana Addo’s Administration
The District Chief Executive (DCE), Mrs. Catherine Reckling is the hardest working DCE of the year, according to Pan African Heroes Foundation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Isaac Rockson ‘CEO of Pan African Heroes Foundation noted that her profound dedication, commitment and relentless devotion to be fair, free and firm in decision making to direct control and manage governance affairs have earned him the honour.
The DCE is a Product of Saint Louis college of education, and belongs to the first batch of three-year Post-Secondary Education (POSEC). She taught for five years, and went to Germany where she met her husband, Lawyer Hans Peter Reckling.
She became an Assembly Member and then Constituency Women Organizer, from 2000-2017 thereabout that gave her position as DCE for Sekyere South District.
