The sefwi wiawso traditional council headed by his royal majesty Katakyie Kwasi Bumangama II the omanhene of sefwi wiawso traditional area has boldly declared it’s support for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufu Addo and its government ahead of the upcoming December 7th elections.
The decision was made upon general consensus of all the chiefs of the said traditional council during their annual general meeting held on Thursday 29th October at Okogyeabou palace at sefwi wiawso the capital of the western North region.
In an exclusive interview with peace news reporter Nana Yaw preko of liberty FM sefwi wiawso, the chief of sefwi paboase doubling as the mponuahene of sefwi wiawso traditional area Nana Frimpong Manson Ababio II on behave of the traditional council indicated that their decision is based on developmental projects that Nana Addo’s government has given them as he promised.
According to him, though the chieftaincy act doesn’t allow Nananom to involve themselves in active politics but so far as they stand for development in the area a government with vision and development must be supported to continue it’s good work.
Nana Frimpong Manson said the creation of western North region is basically the effort of the president of which as at now most regional institutions like the regional house of chiefs has been established among others under the Nana Addo led government which has brought comfortability for the people of the area.
Finally, he disclosed that the traditional council is willingly going to support and vote massively for Nana Addo and it’s government for another four (4) more term for more development in the December polls.
That notwithstanding, Nana Frimpong Manson on behave of the traditional council charge the youth not to involve themselves in electoral violence as it can cause mayhem of the area and Ghana at large.
